The Seatpack: the Seat converter stowage compartment
Empty passenger seats mean lost revenue to the airline operator. Making these empty aircraft seats a paying proposition is achievable with seat converter stowage compartments which allow cargo to be substituted, easily and safely, for the empty space.
The Seatpack fits securely in most aircraft or helicopter seats, regardless of configuration or pitch. With this method of carrying freight any flight which is not full of passengers can be configured to suit. Alternatively, the aircraft can be flown one-way in an all-freight configuration and return with passengers.
The Seatpack has been tested to meet the maximum FAA and CAA burn requirements for aircraft cabinet structures and has also passed all the maximum structural requirements for use in the aircraft cabin in conjunction with passengers.
I can confirm that the seatpacks you have provided for use on our BAE 146 have provided very satisfactory results. It takes us approximately 40 minutes to configure the aircraft with a full set of seatpacks and about 20 minutes to reconfigure the aircraft….
The bags have received a good response from the aircraft loaders and we have been able to load the smaller packages eg. Mail bags into the passenger compartment totalling about four tons in approximately 30 minutes.
We received our 10 Double Seatpacks and yesterday one flight was completed with them installed. It turned out to be very useful for our needs.
Thanks for your help all along; doing business with you was a pleasure.
